Encouragement

Alright, so the events in church have really got me thinking about our youth group. The church conregation (Big Church) can really take an example from you guys. The way that you guys have stuck together through the problems that we've faced should be an example that adults can follow. I will make it a point to encourage our conregation of this fact. I am very proud of you guys. Another unity scripture:
5 so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:5
And to further build our group, I encourage you to participate in the upcoming small groups. I think these will bring us closer together.
Thanks and all of you are such a blessing to me and my wife.

I still can't believe it!

Alright. I kind of went into last night thinking that it was going to be just a typical, busy, Wednesday night. Then the bomb fell (figuratively). At this time, I'm just reeling back from all of it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you will. It seems like just as soon as we feel like everything is going in the right direction, something seems to happen. Now I know that this is all part of God's ultimate plan, it still scares me just the same. So now I'm really looking for direction for our church. Our church and our youth has been through so much in the last handful of years, yet we still hold on. And I'm certain that, only with God's help, that we'll make it through this as well. So here's the scripture that I'm going to latch on to. And if you are wondering what's going to happen, I encourage you to do the same.

5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, 6 so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6

We have to remember that God is in total control. He does have a plan for us and our church. Through the darkest times, it seems like God performs his greatest feats. So I trust that He will point us in the direction we need to take. This anchor will still hold.
I wish this post was a lot more upbeat. Sorry. Couldn't help it. It'll all get better, God promises.

Here we go!

I've got to be out of my mind! Starting a Blog is something that I may not have any time whatsoever to work on. But give me a break, I've got a lot on my plate at the moment. So I'll need your help and support as I try to update it. Check back often so that I'll be encouraged to write more. See you all in Genesis!

Christ's Love,
Matt
