- Hi! Thanks for stopping by our blog. I'm Parker and I'm the youth minister at Oak Grove Baptist Church. I've been in that position for a little more than a year. I have been married to my beautiful wife for three years now and have an equally beautiful daughter that is now 9 months old (me as a dad, scary). My wife and I are also both teachers, she teaches kindergarten and I teach Jr. High Science. We always have plenty to do! But I love my job and our ministries. My heart has always been for teenagers, that's why I tend to spend a lot of my time with them (that and conversations are usually better). That is pretty much the Cliff Notes version of me (if you don't know what those are, you will soon enough). Thanks and enjoy the blog! In Christ, Parker

Also, are we going to have a New Year's Eve party this year? It's 2 days after X-treme, but that shouldn't be a problem. Also, you could use that gas pump countdown timer you used at youth a couple weeks ago. Thanks!
We hadn't started to small groups up yet. There was no reason to reveal something that didn't exist yet. I just had to make sure I got the name. I need to get the leaders to post to it now. Later!

Okay, I'm starting a petition to continue small groups through the summer. Or something like that. Maybe I'm just finding an excuse to continue using the site, I'm not sure...
